they shall beat their swords into plowshares….;neither shall they
    learn war anymore.
    what does it means?

With Biblical questions please include the passage reference that pertains to your question.

I find the phraseology you mentioned in three passages in the ESV, which is the version used here at Seeking Him Daily. They are all prophetic. They are Isaiah 2:4; Joel: 3:10; Micah 4:3. The phraseology is symbolic. It depicts and absence of war and conflict which is permanent and as a result there is no more need for the instruments of war such as swords. Therefore they can be eliminated, heated up and reformed (beaten like with a blacksmith’s hammer) into plows.

All three passages speak to a time of an in-gathering of the nations to God. Isaiah and Micah portray a time of submission to God’s ways on behalf of the nations where universal peace is the result. The prophet Joel uses it in reference to a time of judgement which precedes such an in-gathering.

Scholars believe that the prophets are speaking about the Millennial Era which follows the second coming of Jesus.

I hope you find this helpful.
